Training Days fo FClass
The NRAI FClass committee have decided to run a series of coaching/training sessions for the development of long range shooters, this idea has been muted some time ago, but it is time now we believe to start them. We are hoping to get going on Sunday 13 and or Sunday the 20 April 2008. These are designed at the both beginner and intermediate long range shooter and are essential for the competitor to understand.
The sessions will consist of -
• safety on the firing line when approaching and leaving the firing position.
• commands from RO and messages to the RO and butts during competitions to and from competitors.
• scoring your card and plotting shots on you plotting sheet and why you use it.
• wind coaching (and we need and are looking for a Messiah here)
• how to shoot as a team and sting shooting in competition and when you can do it.
• question and answer session
• costs per person: MNSCI Members 15.00 euro Non-Members 30.00 euro.
The above is some theory and practical there will be a session of shooting and the idea is to pair individuals off and have one person call the wind while the other shoots both alternating at 600 yds. This will be both practice and competition but it is hoped that by doing this all will get an experience of calling the wind in a friendly atmosphere and at the same time be learning a skill and in the end be a more experience shooter.
I will get back to you all on exact times dates and costs but I will require a response while we are organising this and this will be open to all.
Hope you can all support these efforts by the FClass committee.
